Privacy Policy

The short version: Ease does not collect, sell, or share your personal data. Your stress check-ins and streak data stay on your device. We don't know who you are.
1. Who we are
Ease Wellness ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Ease: Breathing & Sleep Sounds mobile application (the "App") available on the Apple App Store. Our website is easewellness.app.

2. Information we collect
We collect the absolute minimum necessary to operate the App.
Information you provide directly:
- Subscription and purchase information processed by Apple's App Store (we do not receive your payment details)
- Support emails if you contact us voluntarily
Information collected automatically:
- Anonymous crash reports via Apple's built-in crash reporting (no personal identifiers)
- Anonymous subscription status via RevenueCat (our payment infrastructure partner) — this includes only whether a valid subscription exists, not who you are
- Basic analytics such as app session count and feature usage — these are aggregated and never linked to your identity
Information we do NOT collect:
- Your name, email address, or any account information (no account is required to use Ease)
- Your location
- Your mood check-in data (stored locally on your device only)
- Your breathing session history (stored locally on your device only)
- Health data or HealthKit data
- Microphone or camera data
3. How we use your information
We use the limited information we collect solely to:
- Verify active subscriptions and unlock premium features
- Fix crashes and improve app stability
- Respond to support requests
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the App.
4. Data storage and security
Your personal usage data — mood logs, breathing streaks, and preferences — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's secure local storage. It is never transmitted to our servers.
We do not operate our own user database. There is no Ease account. If you delete the App, all your data is permanently deleted from your device.
5. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Apple App Store — handles all payments and subscriptions. Apple Privacy Policy
- RevenueCat — manages subscription status verification. RevenueCat Privacy Policy. RevenueCat receives an anonymous device identifier to validate subscription status only.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising networks.
6. Children's privacy
Ease is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please contact us at privacy@easewellness.app and we will take immediate action.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA (California), or other applicable laws, including:
- The right to access data we hold about you
- The right to delete data we hold about you
- The right to opt out of data sale (we do not sell data)
- The right to data portability
Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests can be fulfilled by simply deleting the App from your device. For any remaining requests, contact us at privacy@easewellness.app and we will respond within 30 days.
8. Data retention
We retain support emails for up to 12 months. Anonymous crash and analytics data is retained for up to 24 months in aggregated form. All local device data is controlled entirely by you and deleted when you remove the App.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you via an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
